Tim Gallo serves as the Assistant Equipment Manager at Youngstown State. Gallo is the Olympic Sports Equipment manager and assists Equipment Manager Alvy Armstrong while working with all 21 intercollegiate athletic teams.
For the Penguins, Gallo handles budgeting, purchasing, inventorying, organizing and maintenance of equipment and uniforms for 12 women's and nine men's programs. He has worked diligently to run an efficient equipment room while working closely with numerous coaches, staff and student-athletes.
Prior to joining the department, he spent the 10 years as the assistant equipment manager and facilities director at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. At John Carroll, he handled similar equipment duties while being involved in facility coordination, inspection and maintenance.
Before spending 10 years at John Carroll, he was the head equipment manager at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, for five years. He earned his degree in accounting from Marietta in 1990. Since that time he has been a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
