Erica Chung is in her third year as anassistant athletic trainer for the Penguins. She works primarilywith the Guins' baseball program and is in her first season workingwith the YSU soccer team. Chung has also worked with the YSUfootball program.
Chung previously worked as an assistantathletic trainer at Kennesaw State University working with thewomen’s basketball and baseball programs.
She served as a graduate athletic trainer atthe University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received amaster’s degree in kinesiology in 2006.
She earned her bachelor’s degree inkinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001where she was a student athletic trainer for the women’stennis, cross country and track & field teams.
Her other athletic training experience includesthe University of North Dakota, Loyola University Chicago andCirque du Soleil KA in Las Vegas.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Chung iscertified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and AmericaRed Cross in First Aid and Adult CPR/AED. She is also licensed bythe state of Ohio OT/PT/AT Board.
