Santa Barbara City College: Twice named to theAll-Western State Conference team... As a sophomore, made 11 startsand one relief appearance... Was 4-3 with a 4.52 ERA in 69.2innings... Struck out 46 batters... As a freshman, had a 3.2 ERAand a record of 7-5 in 82 innings.

High School: Batted .375 over his threeyears... As a senior, hit .417 and was selected first-team all-areaand first-team all-conference... Had a 2.57 ERA and held opposingbatters to a .184 batting average.
