2011 (Sophomore): Pitched in 12 games, five of which he started... Went 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA in 41 innings... Struck out 20 batters and walked 20, and opposing hitters batted .327 against him... Was 0-2 with an 8.17 ERA in Horizon League play... Had a 3.52 ERA out of the bullpen... Missed the first month of the season due to an arm injury... Made his season debut against Niagara on March 19... Earned his win three outings later when he threw seven scoreless innings of relief in YSU’s victory over Le Moyne in 17 innings (4/3)... Allowed three hits and walked one while striking out four against the Dolphins...His ERA was 0.79 after that outing as he had allowed one earned run in 11.1 innings... Made his first start at Valparaiso on April 15and remained in the rotation the rest of the season... Threw six innings, his longest outing as a starter, in the regular-season finale at UIC (5/20)... Struck out a career-high five batters in 5.2 innings against Milwaukee (5/7).

2010 (Freshman): Appeared in 23 games, making four starts and coming out of the bullpen 19 times... Did not have a decision while posting an ERA of 10.31 and 26 strikeouts in 29-2/3 innings... Struck out a career-high five batters at Cleveland State (5/8)... Threw 3-1/3 innings against the Vikings, which matched his career-long outing... Also threw 3-1/3 frames in his first collegiate start at Duquesne (3/30)... Went one inning in each of his next two starts and threw two frames in his fourth start as the entire staff was scheduled to get work in... Did not allow an earned run in seven of his outings, including four straight from April 10-17.... Had 12 strikeouts in 10-1/3innings.

High School: Earned three letters for the Lions... Went 21-1 with a 1.96 ERA and 126 strikeouts in his varsity career... Teamed up with current Penguin Erik Okleson to lead NDCL to the Division II state crown as a senior... The pair went a combined 38-1 during their varsity careers... Threw a five-inning, complete-game shutout in the state semifinals against Canal Winchester... Allowed three hits and struck out five... Named the News Herald Player of the Year, team MVP, First-Team North Coast League and honorable mention All-Ohio as a senior... Set the NDCL record for most playoff games played in during a career... Led NDCL to the state semifinals as a junior when he went 8-1... The Lions won three NCL championships during his career... Ranked 70th on the Buckeye Scout Top 100 list for the 2009 graduating class.
