2013 (Senior): Started and played in 10 contests for the Penguins at left tackle...started the first five games of the season before missing two with an injury...returned to start the final five contests at left tackle...was one of two offensive lineman that had previous starting experience entering the season, but QB Kurt Hess passed for more than 2,000 yards and freshman TB Martin Ruiz had over 1,000 yards rushing...Ruiz was named the conference's freshman and newcomer of the year while setting school marks for attempts, yards and touchdowns by a freshman...in YSU career played 21 games and started 16 of his final 18 contests...earned his second letter.
2012 (Junior): Played in all 11 games and started the final six contests...came on to start at left tackle the final six games of the year...first start was against Illinois State...saw action on the line against Pittsburgh, Valparaiso and North Dakota State before jumping into the starting lineup...played every snap against South Dakota, Western Illinois, Indiana State and South Dakota State...earned his first letter.
BOWLING GREEN: In 2011, played in seven games and made six starts at left tackle...started against Miami (Ohio), West Virginia, Western Michigan, Temple, Kent State and Northern Illinois...in 2010, saw action in two contests...redshirted in 2009.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-city honors...led his team to a 10-2 record as a senior and won the city league championship in 2008...named team captain...the Detroit Free Press has him as the 49th-ranked recruit from the state of Michigan...coached by Danshell English...also lettered in basketball where he earned all-city honors.
PERSONAL: Parents are Michelle Bryant and Charles Robertson...birthday is Dec. 27...has four brothers...major is criminal justice...is the 2013-14 recipient of the Dwight "Dike" Beede Scholarship.
