Graydon Rollins Named MVFC Defensive Player of the Week

Linebacker Graydon Rollins has been named the MVFC Defensive Player of the Week after the Guins claim a week four victory over South Dakota.
Rollins finished with a career-high 17 tackles in the Penguins' impressive 47-28 win over eighth-ranked South Dakota. Rollins was credited with 10 solos and seven assisted stops against the Coyotes. He had 1.5 TFLs in the game. His previous career-best effort was nine which came in the previous game against South Dakota State. His 17 tackles were the most by a Penguin since Armand Dellovade had 18 at North Dakota State on Nov. 3, 2018.
Youngstown State's defense recorded a pair of interceptions, recovered a fumble, posted two sacks and allowed just 332 yards in total offense against the Coyotes.
The MVFC Offesnive Player of the Week was named to QB Jerry Kaminiski out of North Dakota. The MVFC Newcomer of the Week was WR Jayden Reed from Indiana State. The MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week is Southern Illinois kicker Weston Schofield.
The Guins head back on the road to Carbondale, Ill., to face the SIU Saluki's this Saturday for their third conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Eastern time.
