YSU’s Teuber to Bowl for Team USA at Pan American Women’s Adult Championship

Youngstown, Ohio — Youngstown State junior Elizabeth Teuber will represent Team USA at the 2026 PANAM Bowling VI Pan American Women's Adult Championship this week in Bogotá, Colombia.
Teuber, a native of Holly, Mich., who joined the Penguins in August, will be one of six bowlers competing to bring home medals at the international event.
Teuber and her teammates arrived Saturday in Colombia and participated in practice sessions on Sunday and Monday. Singles competition will be Monday evening and Tuesday morning, and Doubles will be later Tuesday and conclude Wednesday. Trios competition will be held on Thursday, and the team competition will finish the event on Friday.
Teuber is one of four members of Team USA making their adult team debuts at the event, along with Katelyn Abigania, Annalise OBryant and Maggie Thoma. Teuber, Abigania and OBryant are the only three current collegiate bowlers in the group, and Julia Bond and Breanna Clemmer finish the six-member team.
Former Penguin Jade Cote will compete for Team Canada at the event, which will feature bowlers from Aruba, the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, the United States, Peru and Venezuela.
This is Teuber's second international competition in 2026, with the Penguin junior previously bowling for Junior Team USA at the IBF World Youth Championships in Malaysia in July. At that event, Teuber earned a gold medal in the team competition and a silver medal in doubles.
Youngstown State's fall season will begin on Oct. 16-18 at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic at Holiday Bowl in Struthers.
