Youngstown State senior Desmeal Leigh has been named to the 2027 Panini Senior Bowl Top 300 list, the organization announced on Thursday morning.
A fifth-year senior, Leigh was credited second-team All-MVFC selection as well as third-team All-American selection by SI.com last year.
He started in all 13 games at left tackle, playing every snap in nine contents last season. The offensive line banded together to pave the way for QB Beau Brungard, the 2025 Walter Camp FCS Offensive Player of the Year and the MVFC Offensive Player of the Year. The YSU offense averaged 36.6 points per game and had 10 games with 30-or-more points. The unit averaged 459.3 yards a contest and allowed just 17 sacks with 11 coming in the first six contests.
Leigh is just one of two FCS players on the list.
The Senior Bowl scouting department has been hard at work since last February, evaluating over 2,000 prospects from all levels of college football. The Senior Bowl Top 300 is more than a preseason list; it is a notable accomplishment and reflects the belief that these prospects have the talent and potential to rank among the best players in the country.
The Panini Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the pre-eminent college football all-star game and the first stage of the NFL Draft process. Each year, the Senior Bowl brings the nation's top prospects to Mobile, Alabama, providing NFL personnel from all 32 teams with an opportunity to evaluate players in a competitive environment.
The 2027 Panini Senior Bowl is on Saturday, January 30, 2027, at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
