Indianapolis, Ind. – Olivia Sweetman's second individual title in as many days was the highlight of Day 3 of the Horizon League Championships inside the IU Natatorium.
Sweetman captured a victory in the 200 free with a time of 1:48.65, marking her second title of the championships after winning the 500 free title last night. She became the first female swimmer in program history to win a 200 free Horizon League title.
Quinn Cynor had a very impressive performance in the men's 200 free, placing second with a time of 1:35.00, less than nine-tenths of a second off the pace of the winning time. Noah Smith finished eighth with a time of 1:38.27, while Pablo Santos finished ninth with a time of 1:37.45.
The Penguin women displayed a strong showing in the women's 100 fly, as Orla Maccines finished as the runner-up with a time of 55.83, and Allison Ramirez Romero finished third with a time of 55.90.
Hanna Held had an impressive performance in the women's one-meter dive, placing fourth with a score of 257.85. Natalie Weissman finished 11th with a score of 221.25, while Haley Conklin finished 13th with a score of 210.35.
Jacob Gramer led the YSU men in the 100 fly with a time of 47.15, finishing fifth, while Lorenz Beck placed 10th with a time of 48.04, and Valer Kennedy finished 14th with a time of 48.84.
Derin Donmez secured a ninth-place finish in the women's 400 IM after clocking a time of 4:34.90.
James Slessor finished as runner-up in the men's 100 breaststroke with a time of 52.68, while Adrian Andres Moreno finished in fifth place with a time of 53.59, and Dominic Panozzo placed 16th with a time of 56.62. Hannah Murray finished fifth in the women's 100 breaststroke as she clocked a time of 1:04.13, while Helen Bernardi finished 10th with a time of 1:04.57.
Elliot Elmore finished eighth in the men's 100 backstroke with a time of 49.53, while Reid Withey placed 16th with a time of 50.90. Chloe Moore placed 12th in the women's 100 backstroke as she clocked a time of 57.23, while Lara Lilic finished 15th with a time of 57.50.
The women's 400-medley relay team of Chloe Moore, Hannah Murray, Orla Maccines, and Olivia Sweetman finished fourth with a collective time of 3:48.00. The men's 400-medley relay squad of Quinn Cynor, James Slessor, Jacob Gramer, and Noah Smith finished fifth with a time of 3:13.03.

The Penguins will return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition in Indianapolis. Swimming prelims will begin at 10:00 a.m., while diving prelims will take place at 12:30 p.m., and the finals for swimming and diving will start at 5:00 p.m. All action will be broadcast on ESPN+.
