Columbus, Ohio – Select student-athletes on the Youngstown State Men's Swimming and Diving team competed at the three-day Ohio State Winter Invitational this weekend inside the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Day 1 Highlights:
- The 400-medley relay squad of Quinn Cynor, Moritz Bayer, Chase Fyffe, and Joey Lindgren were the only team that competed during the event, as the other three lanes scratched. The 'Guins swam a collective time of 3:26.46.
- Seth Thomas finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke as he swam a time of 57.52. Moritz Bayer finished right behind Thomas in sixth place, clocking a time of 57.81.
- Chase Fyffe captured a sixth-place finish in the 100 fly, swimming a time of 50.11. Joey Lundgren finished eighth with a time of 52.28.

The Penguins will now turn their sights towards the Horizon League Championships next week in Indianapolis, Ind. The four-day meet will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and run through Saturday, Feb. 21.
