Columbus, Ohio – Select student-athletes on the Youngstown State Men's Swimming and Diving team competed at the three-day Ohio State Winter Invitational this weekend inside the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

Day 1 Highlights:

• The 400-medley relay squad of Quinn Cynor, Moritz Bayer, Chase Fyffe, and Joey Lindgren were the only team that competed during the event, as the other three lanes scratched. The 'Guins swam a collective time of 3:26.46.
• Seth Thomas finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke as he swam a time of 57.52. Moritz Bayer finished right behind Thomas in sixth place, clocking a time of 57.81.
• Chase Fyffe captured a sixth-place finish in the 100 fly, swimming a time of 50.11. Joey Lundgren finished eighth with a time of 52.28.

Day 2 Highlights:

• Moritz Bayer finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:09.46, while Seth Thomas finished fifth with a time of 2:10.59.
• The 200-medley relay squad of Ethan Ferroni, Seth Thomas, Chase Fyffe, and Joey Lundgren finished fifth with a collective time of 1:35.09.
• Ethan Ferroni led the Penguins with a fifth-place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.90. Chase Fyffe finished sixth as he clocked a time of 54.24.
• Seth Thomas finished eighth in the 50 free with a time of 22.02, followed by Moritz Bayer in ninth with a time of 22.20, and Joey Lundgren in 10th with a time of 22.52.

Day 3 Highlights:

• The 400-free relay team of Ethan Ferroni, Joey Lundgren, Seth Thomas, and Chase Fyffe finished second with a time of 3:16.98.
• Chase Fyffe finished runner-up in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:00.43.
• Joey Lundgren finished eighth in the 100 free, clocking a time of 49.23.

The Penguins will now turn their sights towards the Horizon League Championships next week in Indianapolis, Ind. The four-day meet will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and run through Saturday, Feb. 21.
