Youngstown, Ohio — All nine members of Youngstown State's bowling team have been recognized by Conference USA for their achievements in the classroom. Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll on Thursday and the Commissioner's Academic Medal on Friday.
A total of 2,878 student-athletes earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2024-25 academic year, including YSU's entire bowling roster of Kara Beissel, Jade Cote, Madison Doseck, Ellie Drescher, Lyndsay Ennis, Amanda Granata, Madyson Marx, Hannah Miller and Kirsten Moore. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and have completed at least one academic semester at the institution in either spring 2024 or fall 2024.
Additionally, five Penguins earned the Commissioner's Academic Medal for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better and completing at least one academic semester at the institution in either spring 2024 or fall 2024. Those five YSU student-athletes were Beissel, Drescher, Ennis, Marx and Moore.
