Canadian Tenpin Federation Names Cote Bowler of the Year

Youngstown State senior Jade Cote was named the Canadian Tenpin Federation's 2024 Bowler of the Year for the Adult Division, the organization announced on Friday.

During the 2024 calendar year, the native of Farnham, Quebec excelled for both the Canadian National Team and Youngstown State.

At the PANAM Bowling Championships in Reno, Nevada, in August, Cote helped the Canadian team to a fourth-place finish in the team event and a sixth-place finish in doubles. She also competed with Team Canada at the IBF World Youth Championships in South Korea in July and helped guide the team to a fifth-place finish.

Cote earned positions on the 2025 Team Canada and Youth Team Canada by her performances at the national trials in January in Montreal.

At Youngstown State, Cote became the first Penguin to be named a First-Team All-American by the National Tenpin Coaches Association. She was also named to the NTCA's All-Central Region First Team and to the All-Conference USA First Team, and earned Youngstown State's Female Athlete of the Year Award. She led the Penguins to the championship at the Lansing Regional and a third-place finish at the Final Four.
