The Youngstown State men's basketball team (18-7, 10-4 Horizon League) continues its critical three-game homestand when it hosts Horizon League leader Green Bay, Saturday, Feb. 10. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. at Beeghly Center in Youngstown, Ohio. The game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and ESPN+.

Dynes Climbing Blocks Chart
Freshman Gabe Dynes has been a tremendous rim protector this season for the Penguins. Dynes, who set a career-high with seven blocks against Milwaukee on Feb. 8, broke the YSU freshman blocks record of 39 after collecting three at Oakland on Jan. 17. He now has 49 blocks on the year. He is also the first player to collect at least seven blocks in a game since Damian Eargle in 2012. Dynes currently ranks sixth on the YSU single-season blocks list and needs just one more to become the third player in school history with at least 50 blocks in a year. He leads the Horizon League in total blocks and 2.5 blocks per game overall. Dynes is also averaging 3.6 blocks per game in league play.
Charitable Giving
Youngstown State has been quite successful this season from the charity stripe. As a team, the Penguins are shooting 77.2 percent from the free-throw line. That percentage currently ranks as the second highest-in program history. The school mark is 77.9 percent, which was set last season. Seven players are shooting above 73 percent on the year and three are connecting above 80 percent.
Double-Double DJ
DJ Burns has been a force on the boards and in the scoring column for the Penguins. He leads the Horizon League with 247 total rebounds and 9.9 rebounds per game. Burns has also posted 15 double-double on the year and has a double-double in seven straight games. In league play, Burns is averaging a double-double of 12.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He ranks tied for fourth nationally with 15 double-doubles. He ranks ninth in the country in total rebounds and 17th in rebounds per game.
Zig Don't Zag
Ziggy Reid has been on quite a tear for the Penguins. Over the last 10 games, Reid has scored in double figures in each contest and averaged 18.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He also shot 49.2 percent (63-for-128) from the floor and 45.0 percent (18-for-40) from 3-point range. He has also made 40 of his last 45 free-throw attempts.
Block Party
Youngstown State has been protecting the rim the season. The Penguins rank lead the Horizon League with 126 blocks and 5.0 blocks per game. The Penguins' 126 blocks rank tied for fifth on the YSU single-season list. YSU posted 10 blocks against IUPUI on Jan. 25. It marked the second time this season YSU had at least 10 blocks in a game. Against Navy, YSU record 10 blocks. It marked the first time in more than 10 years the Penguins had at least 10 blocks in a game. The last time YSU had 10 blocks in a game was against Westminster on Nov. 23, 2013.
