Senior DJ Burns is on the cusp of joining an exclusive club at Youngstown State. Burns has 379 points and 302 rebounds this season. He needs just 21 more points to become the second player in YSU's Division I history to record 400 points and 300 rebounds in the same season. The first was Adrian Nelson, who accomplished the feat in 2022-23.
20 Win-Seasons
With its win over Milwaukee, the Youngstown State won at least 20 games in consecutive seasons since 1963-64 and 1964-65. It also marked just the third time in program history the Penguins won 20 games in consecutive seasons. The first time was in 1956-57 and 1957-58. It will also mark just the third 20-campaign since 1981-82 when the Penguins joined the NCAA Division I.
