Penguins Head to Nebraska For Bouts with Creighton, Omaha

The Youngstown State men's tennis team travels to Nebraska for the first time in program history this week.
The Penguins (3-0) take on Creighton on Friday and Omaha on Saturday. The contest against the Bluejays will be held at the Hanscom Tennis Courts at 1 p.m. Eastern/Noon Central. The match against the Mavericks is set for 1:30 p.m. Eastern/12:30 p.m. at the Miracle Hills Tennis Center.
YSU is off to its first 3-0 start since the spring of 2020. The Guins last started a season 4-0 in 2017 and haven't started 5-0 since 2013-14, however four of those wins came in the fall.
In singles play this spring, Harry Fouzas, Onder Balci and Nishant Dabas are off to 3-0 starts. William Rassat is 2-0 and Nathan Favier is 2-1 as the Guins have posted a 14-2 singles mark.
YSU has split two all-time matches against Creighton with both being played in Orlando. The Guins have never played UNO.
