Green Bay, Wis. – The Youngstown State women's soccer team was defeated by Green Bay, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
The Penguins fall to 4-9-2 overall and 2-5 in the Horizon League while the Phoenix improve to 4-6-4 and 2-3-2 in league play.
The Phoenix scored all three of their goals within an eight-minute span late in the first half.
Redshirt freshman Maya Naimoli tallied six saves and faced 13 total shots.
Emma Rigone led the Penguins with two shots while seven other players posted one shot each.
Youngstown State hosts Cleveland State Thursday, Oct. 17. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
