The Youngstown State football team will play eight consecutive weeks and face a challenging conference slate in 2024 as the MVFC recently approved a new schedule for next fall.

YSU will play two of its first three MVFC games on the road and then face back-to-back trips to Illinois in November as part of the adjusted schedule.

The Guins open the conference season with a Sept. 28 trip to Missouri State before returning home to face Indiana State on Oct. 5. On Oct. 12, YSU travels to South Dakota State and follows that matchup with home games against South Dakota (Oct. 19) and North Dakota (Oct. 26) to close out the month. In November, YSU visits Illinois State and Southern Illinois before concluding the regular season on Nov. 16 vs. UNI.

YSU was scheduled to host Murray State, but that game was replaced with a visit by the Fighting Hawks on Oct. 26.
