The Youngstown State football program enjoyed spending the afternoon playing host to its Meet the Team event presented by 21 WMFJ at Stambaugh Stadium. The Penguins were able to entertain fans on the stadium turf for the first time since 2019.

Following the 2022 team photo, the more than 130 student-athletes and coaches spent nearly 90 minutes with young and old Penguin fans. The event featured autograph sessions, photo ops, dress-like-a-football-player station, kicking field goals, running with the Penguins, corn hole and bounce arounds courtesy of Austintown Bounce. Members of the YSU Spirit Squad and Pete the Penguin were also in attendance to greet and meet fans.

The weather was perfect for the afternoon and was a great way for YSU to say thank you to its great and loyal fan base.

The Penguins open the 2022 season on Sept. 3 when they play host to Duquesne at Stambaugh Stadium. Tickets and Penguin Club memberships are available by reaching out the Athletic Ticket Office at (330) 941-1978.
