The Youngstown State men's cross country team had a few members compete at the Bill Lennox Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday.
The race was held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in New Castle, Pa.
Redshirt freshman William Hanchosky led YSU with a time of 27:15 in the men's 8k to place 28th out of 84 runners. Senior Mikel Lagaras was the other Penguin to compete at the event, placing 52nd with a time of 28:17.
The Youngstown State men's and women's cross country programs will return to action at the highly anticipated Horizon League Championships on Saturday, October 29th, held at Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
The women's 6k is set to begin at 11 a.m. followed by the men's 8k at noon.
