When did you start playing lacrosse and why?Â
"I started playing lacrosse my freshman year of high school! I started playing because my mom insisted on me being involved in my high school somehow, and my friend invited me to go to a local club camp. I actually competitively danced for my entire life up until Sophomore year, until I had to choose between lacrosse and dance because of the time commitment."
What made you choose YSU?Â
"I chose YSU because it was a good distance from home, opportunity to play Division 1 lacrosse, new successful program, and the coaching staff!"
Did you know anyone on the team before coming to YSU?Â
"I knew Lauren Ottensmeyer, a former player. We played on the same club team for a year, and played each other in high school."
What's your major, and what do you hope to do when you graduate?Â
"I am technically undecided currently, but I plan to get my undergrad in business, then go to law school after I graduate."
What are you most excited about as you start college?Â
"I am most excited about the independence and "adulting", while getting to still play lacrosse!"
What was the lacrosse highlight of your high school/club career?Â
"My highlight of my high school career was starting at 32nd place in the state junior year, and ending in 5th by the end of senior year, due to the hard word put in by my class. "
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of playing lacrosse?Â
"I enjoy spending outside by the pool, cleaning, organizing, and doing anything active."
What's one interesting fact about you that you would like to share?Â
"A fact about me is that I like to clean for fun, and even received a vacuum for my birthday!"
Who or what has been the biggest influence or inspiration during your athletic career?Â
"My biggest influence during my athletic career has been my family. They all are relentless workers and I admire their grit, so I've always tried to embody it on and off the field."
Did you have a favorite athlete or team that inspired you growing up? – If so, what athlete or team and why?
"Ever since I got serious about lacrosse, I've watched Kerrigan Miller play at USC and UNC. I fell in love with her style of play and her selfless attitude."
