Penguins Have Four Top Nine Finishes to Close Out HL Championships

The Youngstown State women's swimming and diving team had four top-nine finishes on the final day of the Horizon League Championships at the Oakland Aquatic Center.
Tiphaine Saint-Gilles placed sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:21.11. Also in the event, Mallory Pitstick earned a strong 10th-place finish with a time of 2:22.40.
Casey Prentice finished eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.34 seconds.
Josie Preski placed eighth in the 1,650 Freestyle with a time of 17:28.64 and Aida Jurinovics finished ninth with a time of 17:32.53.
Paris Krug was 13th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.57 while Jamie Leming finished 16th with a time of 2:08.07.
Aida Jurinovics capped off a strong meet with a 14th-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:09.22.
Also in the 200 back, Averi McCarthy had a time of 2:07.79 while Kat Keller posted a time of 2:11.52. In the 100-yard freestyle, Aubrey Whitaker clocked a time of 53.11 seconds. Rhianna Acosta had a time of 2:17.92 in teh 200-yard buttefly
In the 400 freestyle relay, the Penguins had a strong fifth-place finish with a time of 3:32.26.
The Penguins scored 282 point the meet to finish in seventh place. Oakland won the team title while Cleveland State was second and IUPUI was third.
