Penguins Have Nine Top 10 Finishes at Magnus Cup Invitational

Cleveland, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's swimming and diving team had nine top 10 performances at the Magnus Cup Invitational which was held over the weekend at Cleveland State's Busbey Natatorium.
Aida Jurinovics led the way with three top six performances. Jurinovics was third in the 400 IM, fifth in the 200-yard butterfly and sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Jurinovics finished third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:26.13 while Josie Preski was 15th in the event with a time of 4:36.30.
Jamie Leming places 10th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.24 at the Magnus Cup Invitational.
Tiphaine Saint-Gilles finished sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:22.03. Saint-Gilles placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.70.
Casey Prentice placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.97 seconds and was eighth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.91 seconds at the Magus Cup Invitational.
Aubrey Whitaker was 13th in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.21 while Taci Miller was 14th with a time of 1:55.75 at the Magus Cup Invitational.
In diving, Kayla Wrasman was ninth while Tess Weiskopf finished 13th in the one-meter competition. In the three-meter dive, Weiskopf was 10th with a score of 248.90 and Wrasman was 12th with a score of 237.95.
Jurinovics finished sixth (17:25.88) and Josie Preski places ninth (17:36.77) in the 1,650 freestyle. Jurinovics also places fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.27.
In the 500-yard freestyle final, Josie Preski was 12th with a time of 5:02.58 and Jurinovics was 14th with a time of 5:05.10.
Averi McCarthy was 15th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.10 while Paris Krug was 16th at 2:10.67.
In the team standings, YSU placed fifth with 468 points. Xavier took first place while Delaware was second and Cleveland State took third.
