On March 10, Head Coach Brian Campbell become the winningest coach in YSU softball history by earning his 208th win at YSU and breaking the old mark of 207 set by Hall of Fame Coach Ed Strauss from 1985-95. Now in his 10th season at Youngstown State, Campbell has 209 victories at YSU and 494 overall. He needs six more to record his 500th career win.
Zapped!
Junior Lexi Zappitelli has been on a hot streak as of late. Zappitelli helped the Penguins to a 4-3 record in their last seven contests and won four of their last five games. She went 10-for-15 (.667) with six runs scored, five doubles and four RBIs and posted a .867 slugging percentage. Zappitelli had at least a hit in five of seven games and had a hit in seven straight at bats. She went 3-for-3 with a run scored in a 3-2 win over UNC-Wilmington on March 10. Zappitelli followed that with a 4-for-5 performance with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs in an 11-5 win over North Carolina A&T. Zapped! Again

Geanangel Purgin' Opponents
Junior pitcher Paige Geanangel has had some of her best stuff in her most recent outings.
