Penguins Pick Up Three Singles Wins Against UC Davis

Davis, Calif. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to UC Davis on Wednesday afternoon at the Marya Welch Tennis Courts.
Marta Burak, Dominka Lackova and Nehel Sahni won in singles play. In doubles action, Burak and Sadovnikova won at No. 1 but the Aggies won at No. 2 and No. 3 to earn the point.
At No. 3, Burak earned a decision when Layla Sanders retired in the third set of their match. At No. 4, Lackova beat Nicole Koehly 6-1 and 6-2 while at No. 5, Sahni won 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 over UC Davis' Tiffany Pham.
YSU returns to action on March 22 when it takes on Wright State at the Boardman Tennis Center.
