Orlando, Fla. - Youngstown State junior Austin McLean made it two straight victories for Penguins men runners at the Disney Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning. McLean had a time of 24:42.82 in the 8K race and won by 25 seconds. The Penguins placed third at the event.

Malone won the team competition with 25 points while Florida was second at 52 and YSU third at 68. The Guins had runners place first, 13th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 24th and 32nd in the competition that featured 21 schools.

It marked the second straight time that a Penguin runner won the Disney event. Last season, Eric Rupe took home top honors while McLean was 14th.

Freshman Ryan Sullivan continued his strong first campaign with a 13th-place finish following a time of 25:43.23. Freshman Alan Burns finished 17th with a time of 25:57.21, Rupe was 18th this year clocking in at 25:57.59, John Hutnyan placed 19th at 25:59.64, Jon Richmond placed 20th 2ith a 26:03.55, James Nedrich was 24th at 26:09.27 and Ethan Wilson placed 32nd with a time of 26:44.97.

The Penguins return to action on Oct. 18 when they run at the Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
