Kissimmee, Fla. -- The Youngstown State softball team dropped a pair of contests at the Rebel Games, falling to Creighton, 6-2, in eight in eight innings and to Utah Valley, 8-3.

The Penguins are now 1-9 on the season.

Against Creighton, Amy Baker clubbed a grand slam in the bottom of the eight inning to give the Bluejays the victory.

Junior Sarah Ingalls hit a two-run home run in the top of the fourth before the Bluejays tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Junior Samantha Snodgrass had two hits for the Penguins as well.

In the night cap, Snodgrass, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs batted in, gave the Penguins a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first with a two-run homer.

Utah Valley, though, scored four in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth to pull away from the Penguins.

The Penguins face Wagner and Saint Peter's (N.J.) at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, on Wednesday.
