Volleyball Falls in Three at League-Leading Milwaukee

Milwaukee, Wis. -- The Youngstown State volleyball team battled Horizon League-leading Milwaukee to a 27-25 loss in the opening set before the Panthers caught fire in the next two sets to win 3-0 on Friday evening.
After hitting .172 in the opening set, UWM hit .500 in the second and .432 in the third. Milwaukee took the second set 25-14 and the third 25-11.
Haley Kapferer had seven kills to lead YSU while Brittany Grove added six. Brianna Kern had 15 digs.
Kerri Schuh and Natalie Schmitting had 12 kills apiece for Milwaukee. Schmitting also had a role in five of UWM's 10 blocks.
Youngstown State will play at Green Bay on Saturday at 3 p.m. Eastern.
