Valparaiso, Ind. -- Marissa Hundlet had 12 kills, and Tasha Reid added 10 as the Youngstown State volleyball team lost 25-21, 25-21, 25-21 at Valparaiso on Sunday afternoon.

Mary Dent had a match-high 15 kills to lead the Crusaders, who improved to 16-4. Three different Penguins had at least 10 digs, including a career-best 20 from Brianna Kern.

The match was close throughout, featuring 29 ties and 14 lead changes. YSU hit .171 and posted 10 blocks as a team. Haley Kapferer played a part in seven of those blocks. YSU was hurt by eight serving errors.

Youngstown State will return home to host UIC on Saturday at 2 p.m.
