Jennifer McConnell is starting her second season as a anassistant coach on the Youngstown State volleyball coachingstaff.

McConnell spent the 2010 season as an assistant coach at VernonCollege, a junior college in Vernon, Texas. At YSU, she will be incharge of alumni relations, gameday management and film exchangeand assist in practice preparation.

McConnell played collegiately at both Mississippi Valley Stateand Kansas Wesleyan in her time as a student-athlete. She earned aDistinguished Scholar Award from Mississippi Valley State in 2008,and she was an NAIA Academic All-American at Kansas Wesleyan in2009 while serving as team captain.

McConnell graduated Magna Cum Laude with an emphasis onsociology from Kansas Wesleyan in January 2010.
