Coach Glass's Horizon League Champions

Jake Glass is in his third year as throws coach for the Youngstown State men's and women's track and field program. Glass joined the program in September 2023.

He has made a huge impact with the throwers in a short period of time.

Molly Radcliffe advanced to the NCAA East Prelims for the second straight year in the discus to highlight the outdoor campaign. At the league meet, Krista Perry was second in the discus on the women's side while Jaden Kirkwood (shot put) and Coleson Kertesz (discus) were runner up for the men. During the indoor season, Kirkwood placed second in the men's shot while Grace Sparks was the runner up in the women's weight throw at the league competition.

During his first outdoor season, Radcliffe (women's discus), Ryan Henry (men's shot put) and Dominic Perry (men's shot put) all advanced to the NCAA East Prelims. At the event, Radcliffe set a school record in her event.

At the outdoor HL meet, Henry won the shot put and the hammer throw while Perry was second in the shot and Coleson Kertesz was runner-up in the discus. For the women, Radcliffe won the discus while Lexus Solarz was second in the discus and Krista Perry took second in the hammer throw.

At the indoor HL meet, Perry won the shot put and the weight throw titles. It was his first weight throw title since 2022. Henry was second in the shot put. Perry was named the meet's Outstanding Field Performer for his efforts.

Prior to joining the YSU program, he was a member of the coaching staffs at Washburn and Findlay.

While a member of the Ashland track and field team, he was a three-time qualifier for the NCAA Division II National Championships in the shot put going twice in 2018 in both the indoor and outdoor championships and was also a qualifier at the 2019 outdoor championships.

At Ashland, he was a member of the 2019 men's outdoor national championship team and part of the 2018 team that finished fourth.

Individually he finished 12th in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA outdoor championships earning second team all-American honors. He was also a 2019 USTFCCCA all-region selection and was the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's 2019 outdoor champion.

Glass is a 2020 graduate of Ashland where he was a four-year member of the track and field team graduating with a bachelor's of science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology.
