Caleb Swisher will be in his third season as Director of Baseball Operations for the Youngstown State baseball program in 2025-26.
Swisher, a native of Beavercreek, Ohio, came to Youngstown with seven seasons of baseball experience, including five at the collegiate level. He previously served as an assistant coach at Bryant and Stratton College in Solon, Ohio, in 2023.
Swisher served as team manager for the baseball program at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, from 2017-20. He helped Sinclair claim three consecutive Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championships from 2017-19. In 2018, the Tartan Pride claimed the NJCAA Region XII championship, advanced to the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series in Enid, Okla., and finished the season ranked fifth in the country.
After Sinclair Community College discontinued its athletics programs following the COVID-19 pandemic, Swisher joined his alma mater Beavercreek High School, where he served as an assistant coach for the varsity baseball team in 2021 and 2022. He coached the outfielders at Beavercreek and helped the Beavers finish as the District Runner-Up in 2021. Swisher coached the outfielders at Bryant and Stratton College in his most recent role in 2023.
Swisher graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2019 with an associate’s degree in architectural technology. He also graduated from Greene County Career Center with a Career Passport in Electrical Wiring in 2014. Swisher currently resides in Niles, Ohio.
