The Youngstown State University Department of Intercollegiate
Athletics is pleased to announce the creation of the Boak &
Sons, Inc., Scholarship to enhance the YSU Athletics Scholarship
Endowment Fund.
The Boak & Sons, Inc., Scholarship will be awarded to a YSU
student-athlete for the first time in 2014-15. The recipient will
be a student-athlete with a cumulative grade-point average of above
3.00 and is a business major. This scholarship will also recognize,
celebrate and applaud the efforts of a student-athlete who is
making a difference.
Boak & Sons, Inc., is a roofing, insulation, siding, windows
and gutter contractor headquartered in Youngstown. It has been
locally owned and operated since 1974, doing work in the
Youngstwon, Akron, Canton, Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas.
Boak & Sons has worked with both the largest and smallest
contractors and homeowners throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and West
Virginia and have a commitment to service that is unsurpassed in
the industry. These qualities have led the company to work from
Chicago to Texas, Philadelphia to Cape Canaveral, Fla., at the NASA
Space Center servicing our customers' needs.

Paul McFadden, President of the YSU Foundation, said the
reputation of Boak & Sons makes this a very special endowment
and he looks forward to awarding for the first time this fall.
“Boak & Sons has been a key contributor in the
Mahoning Valley for 40 years,” McFadden said. “They
have always been generous and to have them endow a scholarship at
Youngstown State is something were are very thankful
for.”
