2014 (Junior): Competed in four meets...finished 50th at the Tommy Evans Invitational 5k with a time of 23:53.
2013 (Sophomore): Competed in all eight meets…placed 32nd at the Horizon League Cross Country Championship with a time of 19:46.24…helped lead the Penguins to the first Horizon League women’s cross country title in school history…ran a season-best 5k of 19:39.45 at the BGSU Mel Brodt Invitational placing 67th…placed 28th in the Tommy Evans Invitational with a time of 20:02…finished 36th at the Duquesne Duals with a time of 20:31.4…ran 19:41.42 placing 46th at the Disney World Cross Country Classic...earned her first letter.
Bowling Green (2011-12): As a redshirt freshman, competed in four meets during the season in 2012...set a personal best with a time of 19:21.5 at the UB Stampede Invitational (5K), placing 25th overall...finished 24th with a time of 19:49 at the All-Ohio Championships in the Open Division...ran 25:00 at her first MAC Championship, setting a personal best in the 6K...redshired in 2011.
High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in both track and field and cross country...was aFederal League champion as a senior and three-time state qualifier in cross country...in 2010, was cross country team's MVP...was a four-time first-team All-Stark County pick in cross country...three-time Academic All-Ohio honoree..was a two-time regional qualifier in the 1,600m and 3,200m relay...also helped the track and field team to back-to-back regional championships as a junior and senior...as a sophomore, team finished as state runner-up...named to ESPN Rise Magazine’s “NE Ohio Cross Country Runners to Watch” list in the fall of 2008.
Personal Bio: Daughter of Steve and Holly Monte...her career goals are to be a clinical exercise physiologist, and cardiospulmonary rehab specialization...major is Exercise Science.
