YSU Baseball’s HL Series vs. Wright State Moved to Bob Cene Park

Due to ongoing construction at 717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood in Niles, Ohio, the Youngstown State baseball team's upcoming Horizon League series with Wright State has been moved to Bob Cene Park in Struthers, Ohio.

First pitch for Friday's series opener is now scheduled for 1 p.m. The Penguins and Raiders will proceed to play on Saturday at 3 p.m. before concluding the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Admission for fans will be free for all three games at Bob Cene Park, and there will be concessions available throughout the weekend.

Bob Cene Park is named after an Amateur Baseball Icon in the Mahoning Valley, Bob Cene. Cene was a respected and successful businessman, who had a great love for baseball and helping young men pursue their dreams. In 1994, Cene decided to start the construction of a baseball complex right behind the company he owned and operated. This facility would become home for many high school and collegiate programs in the area while also hosting annual summer and fall leagues.

Bob Cene Park is located at 16 Bob Cene Way, Struthers, Ohio 44471
