Indianapolis, Ind. – Youngstown State senior Kennedy Dean and junior Lydia Wilkerson were named to the Valeo Horizon League Softball All-Academic Team, the league announced.
Wilkerson, a 2025 academic all-league choice, carries a 4.0 grade-point average in finance and earned first-team academic all-district honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) in 2025.
A two-time All-Horizon League Second-Team pick, Wilkerson owns a .364 batting average with 11 doubles, four home runs and 27 runs batted in.
A two-time CSC All-District First-Team selection, Dean carries a 3.79 GPA in organizational leadership. She leads the Penguins with a .367 batting average, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 12 home runs and a single-season record 65 RBIs. She also ranks second in the Horizon League in runs batted in, fourth in home runs and fifth in runs scored.
Youngstown State closes out the regular season at Oakland, May 1-2, in Rochester, Mich.
