The Youngstown State baseball team's non-conference contest against Central Michigan that was scheduled for Wednesday at ForeFront Field in Avon, Ohio, has been postponed due to impending inclement weather.
The Penguins and Chippewas will attempt to reschedule the game for a future date later in the 2026 season with details to be announced when finalized.
Youngstown State will open Horizon League play with a three-game series against Oakland beginning on Friday at Michelle Krill Memorial Field at Pullman Park in Butler, Pa. After beginning the series on Friday at noon, the Penguins and Golden Grizzlies will proceed to play on Saturday at 3 p.m. before closing the series on Sunday at 1 p.m. More details regarding tickets and admission for fans will be provided in the coming days.
