
Men’s Golf Returns to Fall Action on Sunday at Bucknell Invitational

The Youngstown State men's golf team will return to fall competition on Sunday when it begins play in the three-day Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
The Penguins are coming off an eighth-place finish in the Cleveland State Tom Tontimonia Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday from Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. Fifth-year senior Ryan Sam finished tied for 17th to pace the Penguins individually and finish in the top 25 for the third straight tournament to begin the 2026-27 season. In addition, junior Bryar Moss finished tied for 22nd with a three-round total of 219 (73-72-74) in his first appearance in YSU's team lineup.
The tournament field at the Bucknell Invitational will feature 18 other schools including Binghamton, Bryant, Bucknell, Canisius, Colgate, Fairleigh Dickinson, La Salle, Le Moyne, Manhattan, Maryland Eastern Shore, Mercyhurst, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Rider, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure and Wagner.
The teams are scheduled to play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in the three-day, 54-hole event. Tee times for Sunday's opening round of action are set to begin at 8 a.m. Live scoring will be available via Scoreboard by Clippd through links posted on YSUsports.com.
Head Coach Tony Joy has announced that YSU's five-player team lineup will feature Sam, Nolan Shilling, Moss, Nathan Miller and Jack Sacriponte. In addition, Rocco Turner will be competing as an individual for the Penguins.
Miller, Sam and Turner competed in all three of YSU's tournaments this fall while Moss and Sacriponte participated in two events. Shilling will be competing for the second time this fall after making his season debut at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational.
