The Youngstown State men's tennis team plays host to the two-day Youngstown State Invitational this weekend. The event, hosted at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center, starts at 9 a.m. each day with doubles matches.
Joining the Penguins in the event are Duquesne, Edinboro, Xavier and Case Western.
The Guins return Matteo Cerardelli, Mihai Haita, Takamasa Mishiro, Viktor Van Craenenbroeck and Alex Woiten from last year's squad that reached the Horizon League semifinals.
Newcomers to the YSU program include transfers Alexis Maulouet (West Florida) and Dominik Vonbank (Auburn-Montgomery) along with freshmen Oscar Gippet and Rafael Le Fur.
The tournament will feature three singles flights (A, B and C) and one doubles draw. Also, consolation matches will take place during the course of both days.
