The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs have announced their 2025-26 schedule that will include six regular season meets before the Penguins compete in the highly anticipated Horizon League Championships in February, the program announced Wednesday.
The women are coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Horizon League Championships, while the men finished fifth.
The Penguins will open the season at home on Oct. 3-4 as they welcome Horizon League foe Oakland to the Beeghly Natatorium.
The 'Guins will be back in action the following weekend as they will make the short trek to Akron for the Akron Zips Classic on Oct. 10-11.
After a few weeks off, YSU will travel to Cleveland State for a dual with the Vikings on Nov. 8, before returning home for the YSU Invite during the week before Thanksgiving, with the three-day event taking place on Nov. 20-22.
The month of December will also feature two meets for the Penguins. First up will be a trip back to Akron for the Zippy Invite on Dec. 4-7, before select distance swimmers will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. For the CSCAA Open Water National Championships hosted by Florida International University on Dec. 13 to wrap up 2025 competition.
The Penguins will open 2026 on the road at fellow Horizon League member IU-Indy on Jan. 9-10 to wrap up regular season competition.
After over a month off, the Penguins will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., for the highly anticipated four-day Horizon League Championships, which will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 21, on the campus of IU-Indy.
The postseason will continue for select divers at the NCAA Diving Zones in Indianapolis on Mar. 10-12, and for select swimmers at the three-day National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Fla., on Mar. 12-14.
The women's NCAA Championships are set to take place on Mar. 18-21 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, GA., with the men's NCAA Championships set to occur on Mar. 25-28 at the same venue.
