Tori Bustamante represented the Youngstown State women's lacrosse team during this week's Mid-American Conference weekly awards, the MAC announced Tuesday.
Bustamante was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts during YSU's 13-11 victory over Kent State to wrap up the 2025 campaign.
She tied for the team lead with seven ground balls, a new season-high, while also causing a team-high four turnovers, which tied a career-high.
Tori concluded the season as one of the top defenders in the MAC. She led the conference with 36 caused turnovers, nine more than any other player. She averaged 2.40 CT/G during the season, with the next best average being only 1.80 CT/G.
She also ranked fourth in the conference in both ground balls (42) and ground balls per game (2.80).
Nationally, she ranked 11th in the country in CT/G and 24th in GB/G.
This is her first weekly accolade of the season from the Mid-American Conference.
