Penguins Set to Host Vikings on Senior Night

The Youngstown State men's tennis team plays host to Cleveland State on Saturday evening at the YSU Indoor Tennis Cener. First serve for the contest is 6 p.m. The Penguins will salute seniors William Rassat and Chester Wickwire before the contest.
Youngstown State enters the contest with a 13-8 record and a 5-2 HL mark while the Vikings are 11-11 and 7-0. CSU beat the Penguins by a 4-3 margin on April 2 in Cleveland.
YSU split two matches last week, winning at Northern Kentucky on Saturday night before losing to IU Indy on Sunday.
The contest marks the final home matches for transfers Rassat and Wickwire. Rassat has been a Penguin for the past two years after transferring from Ashland. Wickwire, a native of nearby Canfield, Ohio, had stops at Nebraska and UNC-Asheville before returning home in the fall.
This year, Wickwire has won eight singles contests, including five in dual play. In doubles, he's picked up 10 wins.
In his two seasons at YSU, Rassat has won 31 singles contests, including 21 in dual contests. This season he has won a high of 16 singles contests after winning 15 last year. In doubles he has been part of 20 victories. Prior to coming to YSU, he won 23 singles contests at Ashland. In total, he has 54 career singles wins on the collegiate level.
The Penguins will next be in action on Friday, April 25 in the quarterfinals of the HL Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich.
