Penguins Head to IU Indy, NKU For Final Road Tilts

The Youngstown State women's tennis team plays its final two Horizon League road matches of the season this weekend at IU Indy and Northern Kentucky.
The Penguins (9-7 overall and 2-1 in the Horizon League) play the Jaguars (2-8, 0-2) on Saturday at 11 a.m. before visiting the Norse (5-7, 1-1) this Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
YSU is coming off a strong weekend after beating Milwaukee (5-2) and Chicago State (7-0) at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
This spring, Julia Marko leads the way with an 11-4 mark at No. 1 singles. Three Penguins have amassed eight singles wins this spring – Lili Minich, Lorena Cedeno and Yeseniia Ovcharova. Ghada Dirninger has added seven singles victories as well.
The Guins have won the doubles point in each of their first three conference matches.
YSU closes out the regular season on Friday, April 18 against Oakland at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
