Guins Travel to NKU, IUI For Key #HLTennis Matchups

The Youngstown State men's tennis team plays two key Horizon League contests this weekend at Northern Kentucky and IU Indy.
The Penguins (12-7 overall and 4-1 in the Horizon League) play the Norse (5-9, 3-3) late Saturday evening (7:15 p.m.) before heading to IU Indy (8-11, 2-3) on Sunday afternoon (3 p.m.)
YSU won its lone match last weekend beating Chicago State, 7-0, on Sunday and now sets its sights on the home stretch of the league season.
Earlier this year, the Guins defeated the Jaguars by a 5-2 score on March 22 and defeated the Norse, 6-1, on March 23.
In HL singles matches, YSU is a strong 23-7 so far this season. Leading the way is Ethan Dasset who is 4-1 while William Rassat and Onder Balci are both 3-1. In doubles, YSU is even better with a 12-2 record. Dasset and Balci have teamed up to post a 4-0 record while Rassat and Chester Wickwire are 4-1.
Youngstown State closes out the regular season on Saturday, April 19 against Cleveland State at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
