Three Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving team members concluded a very successful 2024-25 season at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships this week at the McCorkle Aquatics Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Hanna Held was the lone Penguin to compete on the first day of the meet, representing the Penguins program in the three-meter diving event. Held placed 44th in the preliminary round, scoring 209.70 through her six dives.
Tuesday's portion of the meet saw all three Penguins competing as Held was joined by Ellen Linscheid and Cody Thill.
Held and Linscheid both competed in the one-meter diving event. Held placed 40th in the preliminary round, scoring 207.50, while Linscheid finished 42nd with a score of 202.00.
Thill competed in the men's one-meter diving event Tuesday afternoon. He placed 45th in the preliminary round, finishing with a score of 223.20.
Held was the lone Penguin to compete on the last day of the meet, as she qualified for the platform diving event. She finished in 27th place during the preliminary round, scoring 188.50 collectively during her five dives.
113 total divers qualified for the meet, competing across the six events.
