The Youngstown State women's swimming and diving program received praise from the Horizon League after a strong performance at last week's YSU Invite with Hanna Held being featured as part of the Horizon League's weekly awards.
Held was named the Horizon League Women's Diver of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. This is the second time this season that Held has received this honor, and fourth time during her career.
Held swept victories in each diving event last weekend at Beeghly Natatorium, finishing first in the one-meter dive with a score of 279.40, three-meter dive with a score of 305.35, and platform dive with a score of 240.20. Held also scored 245.55 during the prelims of the platform dive, which set a program-record for that event.
Held and the 'Guins will be back in action for the four-day Zippy Invite in Akron, Ohio on Dec. 4-7.
