The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs are set to embark on a very special weekend as they will host the first YSU Invite. The three-day event will take place from Thursday to Saturday.

Last Time Out

The Penguins last competed on Nov. 8 at Busbey Natatorium during a one-day dual with Cleveland State.

The women were victorious in four events, including two event victories from Hannah Murray in the 200 breaststroke (2:24.94) and 200 IM (2:08.41). Orla Maccines placed first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.44, while Olivia Sweetman won the 500 free with a time of 5:05.11 to wrap up the wins for the Penguin women.

The Penguin men won five events against the Vikings. Quinn Cynor continued his very strong start to the season with two event victories, claiming first place in the 200 free (1:40.52) and also the 200 backstroke (1:52.22). Also placing first was Lorenz Beck in the 100 butterfly (50.08), Pablo Santos in the 100 backstroke (51.03), and Valer Kennedy in the 200 butterfly (1:54.10).
