Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State softball team has announced four student-athletes have signed grants-in-aid to join the Penguins program for the 2027 season, Head Coach Brian Campbell announced.
Joining the Penguins in the fall of 2026 are Lailah Bohanan, Katelynn Lewis, Elaina Primozic, and Madilynn Wright.
Bohanan, from Aurora, Ohio, was a 2025 First-Team All-Ohio selection and batted .670 with a .709 on-base percentage and a .849 slugging percentage. She is also a two-time first-team all-conference selection.
A Lakewood, Calif., native, Lewis is a three-time First Team All-Moore League selection and was named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2024.
Primozic, who is from Springfield, Va., is an infielder that is a three-time all-district selection and two-time all-region choice. She also set the school records for most home runs in a single season and a career.
Wright hails from Jackson, Ohio, is a two-time all-conference and all-district selection.
Youngstown State opens the 2026 season against Tarleton State, Friday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. in Boiling Springs, N.C.
