Men and Women Both Slated Fourth in 2024-25 Preseason #HLSD Poll

The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs were each slated fourth in the Under Armour #HLSD Preseason Poll, the Horizon League announced Thursday.
The YSU women earned 26 points as they were slated in a tie for fourth place in the preseason rankings with Cleveland State. The women are coming off a fourth-place finish at last season's Horizon League Championships. The fourth-place finish tied for the best finish in program history, while their 474 points as a team at last year's conference championships rank as the most in program history.
Oakland, the reigning champion, was slated first with 49 points and received all seven first-place votes. Milwaukee was picked to finish second with 37 points while IU Indianapolis rounded out the top three closely behind with 36 points. After Youngstown State and Cleveland State, Green Bay was slated sixth, receiving 15 points, while Northern Kentucky was picked seventh with seven points.

In the men's fourth-place preseason ranking, they received 30 points. The YSU men also finished fourth in team standings at the 2023-24 HL Championships, which tied a program-best mark.
Oakland was slated to win the league with 48 points as they received six of the seven first-place votes. IU Indianapolis was picked second with 42 points as they received the other first-place vote. Cleveland State was slated to finish third with 32 points, just two points ahead of YSU. Milwaukee was slated fifth with 20 points, Green Bay was ranked closely behind them with 17 points, and Northern Kentucky rounded out the men's rankings as they were placed seventh, receiving seven points.
