Diving to Host Duquesne Saturday

The Youngstown State men's and women's diving programs are set to host Duquesne in the Beeghly Natatorium on Saturday.
The diving only meet will begin at 11:30 a.m. The diving dual will include the men's and women's one- and three-meter dives.
Penguin Preview
The Penguin divers have been delivering impressive performances on the board all season long. Freshman Hanna Held leads the Penguins with season-best scores of 278.70 in the three-meter and 261.75 in the one-meter. Emma Schum ranks second on the Penguins in the three-meter delivering a top score of 254.55 this season, while Ellen Linscheid ranks second in the one-meter with a season-best score of 253.35.
For the men, Zachary Lao leads the Penguins on the one-meter with a top score of 271.73 while Simon Iwanonkiw leads in the three meter with a season-best score of 271.73. Cody Thill ranks second on the one-meter this season with a score of 259.25 while Lao recorded a three-meter score of 247.33 to mark the second-best Penguin score of the season.
Last Time Out
YSU is coming off a sweep of the women's diving events versus Denison on Jan. 20. Linscheid earned the victory in the one-meter with a score of 253.35 while Hanna Held won the three-meter with a score of 278.70. In both the one- and three- meter, the Penguins finished 1-2-3 with Held in second and Schum in third in the one-meter and Schum and Linscheid placing second and third, respectively, in the three-meter.
The men had divers place runner-up in both the one- and three-meter dives. Lao was runner-up in the one-meter dive with a score of 262.65 while Iwanonkiw was second in the three-meter, scoring a 250.50.

The Youngstown State swimming and diving programs will send select swimmers to compete at the Miami (OH) Classic on Feb. 9 and 10 in Oxford, Ohio before the Penguins travel to the highly anticipated Horizon League Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind beginning on Feb 14.
