YSU Men’s Golf Announces Spring Schedule

The Youngstown State men's golf team will compete in six tournaments across four different states from late February to late April during the spring portion of its 2024-25 season. Head Coach Tony Joy announced the team's complete spring schedule on Thursday.
"After finishing our fall season with several positive results, the team is really looking forward to our spring schedule," said Joy. "We will be competing in many familiar events as well as returning to Boulder Creek Golf Club for South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational and to Heatherwoode Golf Club for the Wright State Invitational. These tournaments will be great preparation for the Horizon League Championships in late April."
The Penguins, who competed in six tournaments during the fall season, will open the spring slate on Feb. 24-25 with the World Golf Village Collegiate hosted by Eastern Kentucky at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. Youngstown State will then travel west for the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder Creek, Nev., on March 7-8.
YSU will continue its spring schedule on March 31-April 1 with the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind. The following week, the Guins will compete in The Jewell hosted by Northern Kentucky at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio on April 7-8. Youngstown State will play its final event before the Horizon League Championships on April 13-14 when it participates in the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.
The 2025 Horizon League Golf Championships are scheduled for April 19-21 at Mission Inn Resort's El Campeon Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. The Penguins finished third at the league meet last season to earn their second top-three finish in the last three years.
The NCAA Regionals will take place May 12-14 at six different sites. The regional sites include Poplar Grove Golf Course (Amherst, Va.), Gold Mountain Golf Club (Bremerton, Wash.), The Blessings Golf Club (Fayetteville, Ark.), Montreux Golf and Country Club (Reno, Nev.), Karsten Creek Golf Club (Stillwater, Okla.) and Seminole Legacy Golf Club (Tallahassee, Fla.).
